Golf Swing Positions: | ||
Left arm and club shaft are in a straight line. Ball position in middle with irons. Weight evenly distributed over insides of feet. | ||
Sweeping the "upside down triangle" back, formed by the shoulders and arms helps keep the club on plane and clubface square during the initial takeaway. | ||
Maintain a stable lower body as upper torso twists into backswing. Greater flexibility will allow you to achieve optimum rotation resulting in your back facing the target and left shoulder behind ball. | ||
By remaining tension free on the downswing you will create a 90 degree angle between left arm and club shaft which is a source of power. | ||
At impact, weight over left leg, hips rotating to target, hands in front of ball. | ||
Arms swinging down target line, hips rotating to target, eyes tracking flight of golf ball. | ||
Perfectly balanced finish with weight up over left leg, belly button to target, and a tippy toe finish. | ||

Transfer of weight to left side will bring club down on plane. Notice right forearm in line with club shaft. | ||
Shoulders square to target line, hips rotating toward target, and weight up off right foot. | ||
Arms swinging down target line creates speed. Weight transferring to left side, eyes following golfball flight. | ||
Perfectly balanced finish with arms folded up over left shoulder, belly button pointing left of target, tippy toe finish. | ||
